About Us

Alexandra & Connor are elementary school sweethearts that are originally from the Erie, PA area but now call Cleveland, OH home with their two mini goldendoodles, Louie and Henry. Alex is an occupational therapist who specializes in the pediatric population. She earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy and Minor in Special Education from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2017. Upon moving to Cleveland after graduation to accompany Connor in pursuing his dream of going to medical school, Alex has worked at both a specialty school for autistic children and in an outpatient pediatric clinic. She is extremely passionate about the neurodiverse community as well as the core principles on which We Rock was founded including fostering inclusivity, supporting the sensory needs of those with atypical processing patterns, developing gross and fine motor skills, encouraging social skills, and most importantly: facilitating PLAY!

Alex saw firsthand the challenges that families faced in order to find a safe place where their kids could play and socialize while meeting their sensory needs. When she realized that families were resorting to spending hours each night at their local mall indoor playgrounds for their children to release energy and receive needed input, she knew that she needed to make a change. We Rock the Spectrum quickly became a dream that she never thought possible. Upon telling Connor about WRTS, he also knew that this fell perfectly in line with Alex’s lifelong dream, and has been by her side every step of the way in order to make it happen.

Alex and Connor are eager to spread the word to families of both neurodiverse and neurotypical children within the Greater Cleveland community. They hope for WRTS Cleveland to become an inclusive ‘hub’ for families of the Northeast OH region and a place where adults can connect, children can play and develop relationships, and everyone can learn from each other’s differences.
